Exploring the Music City

NASHVILLE, TENN. — We’ll get this out of the way first — Nashville’s food scene is so much more than hot chicken. (But to answer the inevitable question of who does it best, we went on a crawl — absolutely do not do this — and determined that the answer is 400 Degrees. You can read more in our Field Guide.) In fact, the dishes we keep thinking about are things like a bologna bánh mì, a bowl of Bircher muesli, a smashburger, and more than anything, an absolutely perfect bean and cheese burrito, eaten while posted up at a cocktail bar.
