ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Located in Western New York along Lake Ontario, Rochester is a good town for those who like a drink. The city makes a nice base for exploring the Finger Lakes region, which is among the best American wine regions (if you are a riesling lover, you’ve probably already tried some). The city also hosts the annual Rochester Cocktail Revival Festival (this year, it will be June 3–9), which brings in folks from the bar world for dinners, tastings, and more. And like all good mid-sized cities these days, there is a strong restaurant scene. Whether you’re looking for white hots, tomato pie, or chocolate kouign-amann, Rochester offers plenty of delicious options. Read on for how we like to spend a day in Rochester.
