DETROIT, MICH. — We’re always game for a trip to Detroit, where we consistently find good people and good eats. The city’s food scene has some iconic dishes you should try, like Detroit-style pizza (Buddy’s Pizza is the move) and coney dogs (get them at side-by-side establishments Lafayette Coney Island and American Coney Island), but there’s so much more here to eat and drink. Head outside downtown to find savory galettes and maple pie, drive to suburban Dearborn for exceptional Middle Eastern fare, and post up at a cool hotel bar for a nightcap. Here’s how we spend our ideal day in Detroit.
