Love the Solly’s shout-out. Skippy’s Burger Bar in Thiensville and Crave on Oakland Ave in Shorewood also excellent purveyors in Milwaukee!

We'll add them to our list for next time!

We still need to go to Kewpee in Racine. Made an attempt last summer but they were closed for the weekend — will make another attempt this summer!

We are always up for a visit to Kewpee. It's tough to score a burger, because the hours are so limited and unpredictable, and they don't answer the phone!

That was our experience!

BIG difference between a butter burger at Solley’s vs. a Culver’s. At Solley’s, a thick dollop of butter is slathered on the burger while hot, giving you a burger on a bun that’s wading in a pool of melted butter on your plate. Seriously. It’s amazing, but not for the timid.

Culver’s, on the other hand, lightly butters their burgers’ buns. That’s it. They make tasty, quality burgers and have fantastic service, but the difference between the two burgers can’t be overstated.

For sure! Solly's is an experience.
