A Throwback Escape
WISCONSIN DELLS, WISC. — There are many reasons you might take a trip to Wisconsin Dells, a touristy town in the south-central part of the state. It has so many waterparks it’s dubbed “The Waterpark Capital of the World,” so it makes for a popular family summer vacation. You can come for the scenic boat rides along the beautiful dells that give the town its name. You can visit Wollersheim Winery & Distillery, which makes the brandy you’ll drink in many of the state’s old fashioneds. Or, you can come eat. Our day in the Dells celebrates old-school favorites — including two supper clubs — that give you a nostalgic taste of Midwestern summer.
